Arteta reacts to Arsenal’s signings from Chelsea

Despite the rivalry, business between Chelsea and Arsenal has become far more frequent in recent seasons, and that has already continued this summer.

After the addition of Kepa Arrizabalaga as back-up goalkeeper, Noni Madueke has also made the switch, leaving the Blues camp just days before they were crowned world champions.

Arteta was asked after the addition of the winger why they had signed so many players from Chelsea, and he explained he is more worried about the profile of the individual, rather than where they come from.

He continued to Football London: “Probably because they have some great players and a lot of players. We tried to focus on the players we want to sign regardless of the club they are in.”

One player the Gunners are not likely to sign is Nicolas Jackson, despite reportedly being offered to them as speculation over his future continues.
