Romeo Lavia celebrated yesterday completing his move from Southampton to Chelsea.
The Blues confirmed on Friday that Romeo Lavia, 19, has secured a move to Stamford Bridge and signed a seven-year deal at the club.
He becomes the latest summer recruit as the rebuild of the squad continues under Mauricio Pochettino.
The Belgian midfielder impressed last year at St Mary’s in a struggling Southampton line-up, which has convinced Chelsea to invest in him.

Lavia uploaded a message on Instagram to Chelsea supporters following his recent arrival.
The 19-year-old has received plenty of responses in the comment section from new teammates, including Moises Caicedo.

Let’s hope Caicedo and Lavia can form a strong connection on the pitch in Chelsea’s midfield. We’re certainly excited about the prospect of them playing alongside Enzo Fernandez in the centre of the park.
The Blues have overseen a massive upgrade in their midfield in the space of a few days by signing Caicedo and Lavia in the same week. Will we see either this Sunday against West Ham, though?

Mauricio Pochettino has described Lavia as the “perfect player” for the new project at Chelsea, as quoted by Chelsea’s YouTube channel.
The emerging talent is joining a very young group of players that should be easy to integrate into.
The fact there’s so many new faces in this squad means it’s easy to move on from last season’s horror show and be excited about this year under Pochettino.
