Journalist Florian Plettenberg has now claimed that Chelsea are monitoring one manager ahead of the end of the season.
He took to Twitter to state that the Blues are considering hiring him if they decide there is no future for them with Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino under pressure
Pressure continued to rise on the man in charge at the weekend, as his Chelsea side were only able to take a point away from Stamford Bridge.

This is despite twice leading against Burnley, who were down to 10 men for more than half of the game.
Some supporters though have already seen enough, making their feelings known about the Argentine at games.
When it comes to potential replacements, Ruben Amorim has frequently been mentioned as a potential candidate to take the role.
He is currently enjoying a very successful season yet again at Sporting Lisbon, and this has seen him come in for plenty of praise in his relatively short career in the game.
Chelsea looking at ‘incredible’ Amorim
He has been described as ‘incredible’ by Mikel Arteta, one of the best in the game.
Now, Plettenberg has stated that Chelsea are keeping tabs on him, ahead of what looks as if it will be a huge summer when it comes to managers at the top moving on.
He said: “Rúben Amorim, he’s definitely a candidate for FC Liverpool in summer! At FC Barcelona, he is also highly regarded. Chelsea is monitoring him, should things not progress further with Pochettino in summer.
“Amorim favours a 3421 system with two attacking midfielders who move freely between the lines. Pedro Goncalves and Edwards, are essential for Amorim.
“Similar to Leverkusen and Inter Milan, there are often five players in the forward line as passing options, providing tremendous width in the attacking play (3-2-5). Been told his release clause is said to be €10m in summer.”
It remains to be seen if Pochettino can turn things around in West London, however it does feel as if he is really running out of time to keep everyone onside.
It is likely that European football for next season would be a must, however that is looking less and less likely as time goes on.
Their best bet perhaps is the FA Cup, however they are safe in the knowledge that they will need to beat both Manchester sides in order to do so.
