Alan Shearer has now claimed he is stunned at what he has just heard Mauricio Pochettino say about his Chelsea side.
He told ‘The Rest is Football’ that the fact he is already asking for more players publicly in January is crazy based on what the club did during the summer.
Pochettino’s addition to the squad was met by a plethora of new signings, with them smashing their club transfer record for the second consecutive window.

This lavish spending has not yet brought any better fortunes on the pitch. The Blues are currently worse off than they were this time last year.
Questions are beginning to be asked of the manager after another poor result at the weekend, with them defeated 2-0 by Everton.
Pochettino came out after the game to state that he needed more players to make things work.
Shearer has now claimed he can’t believe what he is hearing.
Shearer on Pochettino
He said: “Did you hear Poch saying about the need for players in January? It was only six or seven months ago we were saying they had too many players. In the last two years or 18 months it’s something like £960 million. Just under a billion. They have spent on players.
“I know he wasn’t involved yesterday but they have spent all that and a 39-year-old is still their best centre half in Silva and they haven’t got a centre forward.
“I mean whoever is buying those players to give to the coach, someone needs to seriously have a look at themselves because whatever they are giving the coach at the minute is nowhere near good enough and they are spending an absolute fortune on players and have wasted so much, and they have given a lot of them eight year contracts. My goodness.”
It has been reported that the Blues are looking at making more than one signing in January, with a striker seeming to be at the top of the list.
