Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Chelsea will make a decision next week on whether they want to sign Rayan Cherki this summer.
He told GiveMeSport that it is unlikely that they complete a deal to sign both the Lyon man and Michael Olise this summer.
The Blues have been strongly linked with a move for Cherki after he impressed greatly at the U21 European Championships.

This followed a very impressive domestic campaign, where he showed a lot of promise for a player who is still only a teenager.
It appears that the club are looking to make one more signing to play in attack before they get their Premier League campaign underway with the game against Liverpool.
Cherki decision next week
Another player they have been reportedly considering signing is Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise. He has a reported release clause which is very achievable for the Blues.
Jones has claimed that a decision will be made next season, with it unlikely that both players are brought in this summer.
He said: “I’m expecting the interest in Rayan Cherki to continue as well through to next week and it’s unlikely both of these players are signed this summer.

“So with that in mind I am interested to see the actual value of these deals come to light and the terms of those potential deals too.”
There have also been links for the Blues to bring in Mohammed Kudus from Ajax, with his versatility key to any side looking to bring him in.
With claims that personal terms are close to being agreed between both parties, it could end up being the case where neither of the aforementioned players are selected to join this summer.
