Chelsea have nearly agreed personal terms with Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus.
That is according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Jacobs has claimed that Chelsea are on the verge of agreeing personal terms with Mohammed Kudus, who wants to leave Dutch giants Ajax this summer.
It is understood that the Blues still haven’t submitted a bid for the £40million-rated player, though, so we’re guessing any kind of deal for the 22-year-old is still some way off.
He adds that Arsenal and Brighton are rival buyers for the attacking midfielder.

Jacobs has given a transfer latest regarding Chelsea’s interest in Kudus:
“Chelsea have registered their interest in Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus and are even close to agreeing personal terms. But no offer has been placed yet,” Jacobs told CaughtOffside.
“Kudus is one of a number of attacking midfield options… Kudus is under contract at Ajax until 2025 and is keen to leave. He has already rejected a one-year extension back in April.
“The Arsenal interest is genuine as well, although they won’t move prior to outgoings. They made contact a couple of weeks ago. Brighton are also in the race. Kudus is going to cost about £40m.”

Described as “exceptional” by John Heitinga (VoetbalPrimeur), Kudus looks a really attractive option for Chelsea.
The Ghana international is an extremely versatile individual who’s proven his quality as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder or winger.
It’s fantastic to hear the Blues may be close to agreeing a transfer with the player himself, but the club should look to get a move on to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
We really like the fact Ajax’s star brings both serious energy and skill, plus he feels like two signings in one due to his flexibility.
Our guess is Mauricio Pochettino could get a lot from him in a No 10 position creating and scoring goals. It’s worth highlighting he had 18 goals and seven assists last season across all competitions for Ajax.
Well-respected journalist Simon Phillips claimed on his Substack last month that Chelsea view Kudus as their priority target for the No 10 role in this transfer window. Hopefully, there’s much more to come with this story.
