The good feeling continues to carry on at Chelsea at the moment as they cut the lead at the top of the Premier League table to just two points with a big win over Brentford.

The Blues ran out 2-1 winners in a game packed with drama, where Marc Cucurella both scored and saw red for an altercation after the final whistle.

The Spaniard will now be absent for the next game against Everton, handing a great chance for Renato Veiga to prove his worth as a first team player.

Despite a late scare, there was never really any doubt that the Blues were clearly the best team on display, with a number of big chances going begging before they put themselves two goals clear.

Noni Madueke calls Nicolas Jackson the best striker in the Premier League

The second was converted by Nicolas Jackson, who had actually endured a rough evening in front of goal before firing home a brilliant breakaway goal.

The Senegal international has been imperious this season, making himself undroppable as far as Enzo Maresca is concerned.

Chelsea fans have been of the opinion that they actually have the best striker in the Premier League right now, and Noni Madueke seems to agree.

After a supporter commented just that on Jackson’s Instagram post, Madueke replied: “Facts.”

Nicolas Jackson 24/25 stats

Despite Christopher Nkunku still being the top scorer for the club in all competitions this season, he hasn’t been able to displace Jackson this season.

Chelsea are reportedly delighted with the signing of Jackson, and believe he is worth way more than the £32m they paid to sign him.

The striker will be hoping to make it double digits in the Premier League this season when he takes on Everton next weekend. The Blues can temporarily go top of the Premier League with a win over the Toffees on Sunday.
