It has not gone unnoticed the magnitude of players who have come to Chelsea in the time that Todd Boehly and co have been in charge of proceedings.
The ongoing situation has made Enzo Maresca’s life a little more difficult since joining the club, with it well documented just how many players they currently have on their books.
It has been clear though which players are at the centrepiece of their project, with many of them being signed in the last two years.
Cole Palmer’s brilliant start to life at Stamford Bridge saw him rewarded with an extension to his already long contract, however the intent behind it was to see him given a higher salary to recognise his efforts.
The same has just been done with Nicolas Jackson, who has enjoyed a strong start to life in English football following his £32m move from Villarreal.

Chelsea think Nicolas Jackson is worth way more than what they signed him for
It looks as if they had enough confidence in the striker to turn down the opportunity to sign Victor Osimhen on deadline day.
Fabrizio Romano has stated that the Blues are confident that Jackson is already worth considerably more than the price they paid to bring him in.
He said: “They want their top players to be happy with their salaries, so Cole Palmer was the first one to receive that kind of contract, and now Nicolas Jackson, who is doing very well, Chelsea believe they did an excellent deal by signing Jackson from Villarreal more than one year ago.
“Now they believe the player is already worth way higher, and so Chelsea are very happy with the deal.”
Jackson proving doubters wrong
Jackson has been proving doubters wrong this season already, scoring the opening goal in his last two games in the Premier League.
He is also almost definitely part of their strongest attack at the moment, despite a number of new signings coming in to bolster their options over the summer.
This included Pedro Neto and Joao Felix, as well as the deadline day addition of Jadon Sancho.
