One Chelsea player has just received some hilarious banter on social media from teammates after what’s happened on the club’s pre-season tour.
Chelsea kicked off their trip in the United States on Thursday with an entertaining 2-2 draw against Wrexham.
It may have been tagged a friendly match between the two clubs as a pre-season exercise, but there were some fireworks on the pitch in the opening few minutes.
In a video published by ESPN on X, Levi Colwill and James McClean aggressively tussled early on into the match after a late challenge from the Wrexham player. The pair were quick to grab each other’s shirts, but the altercation was split up before things escalated further.

Levi Colwill receives stick from Chelsea teammates
Blues defender Colwill, 21, has uploaded a post on Instagram after the game with Wrexham showing off some pictures.
He’s received some funny responses in the comment section from teammates such as Noni Madueke and Malo Gusto mocking him about the McClean incident.

How important will Colwill be next season?
On paper, Colwill should have a really big 2024/25 season ahead of him.
The left-footed centre-back is a product of the Chelsea academy and he had a strong year in the first-team squad last campaign. Now, he’s working under a new head coach that should really suit his style of football.
Blues manager Enzo Maresca wants his players at the back to be ball-playing defenders that make lots of passes, which is definitely a strength of Colwill’s game.
As seen in pre-season, he’s also got an edge to him as well. It’s not the first time we’ve seen him fired up and aggressive on the football pitch.
