Noni Madueke and Levi Colwill have both been key players for Chelsea this season.
Noni Madueke has only missed one Premier League game so far, while Levi Colwill has been an ever-present.
Colwill has really impressed Darren Bent this season, but it does not look like the former Tottenham Hotspur striker is the only person who has been dazzled by the central defender.
His teammate Madueke has also had some very positive things to say about him after his strong start to the campaign.

Noni Madueke on Levi Colwill’s form
Last season, Colwill was mostly used as a left-back under Mauricio Pochettino, who preferred Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi as his centre-back pairing.
However, with Silva leaving Stamford Bridge and Enzo Maresca replacing Pochettino, Colwill has got the opportunity to play in central defence this term.
For Madueke, the 21-year-old has firmly grasped that opportunity. When asked how his teammate has done in the current campaign, he replied: “Yeah, very well, to be honest, playing centre-back, great position for him, even though he’s actually good at left-back as well, he just doesn’t like it.”
Wesley Fofana has been the other starting centre-back at Chelsea this season. Fofana has a good relationship with Maresca, making a Stamford Bridge exit unlikely despite recent interest from Marseille.
Levi Colwill playing well in central defence
Colwill certainly has been performing well in central defence, not just for Chelsea but also for England.
He made an incredible goal line clearance in the Three Lions’ last game against Greece. It was not enough to prevent his country from losing, but it was a reminder of just how good of a defender Colwill is.
As for his performances in blue this season, Colwill is winning 1.7 aerial duels per league game, according to WhoScored. It is the highest average in Chelsea’s squad.
The England international is also making 3.7 clearances per game. Only Fofana has recorded a higher average at Chelsea.
Ultimately, Colwill is getting the job done at centre-back. Playing him at left-back was a waste of his talents.
