Noni Madueke shared his excitement to some news coming out of Chelsea this week.
The Blues confirmed via their official website yesterday that Josh-Kofi Acheampong has signed his first ever professional contract with Chelsea.
Acheampong, who’s just 17, has been on the club’s books since the Under-8s age level.
The highly-rated defender is playing for Chelsea’s Under-18s this season, albeit he’s been bumped up to the Under-21s group as well on some occasions to play matches.

Acheampong celebrated the signing of his Chelsea deal with an Instagram post.
Blues first-team star Noni Madueke, 21, posted an excited one-word response in the comment section.

Josh-Kofi Acheampong signs Chelsea contract
There’s something about Chelsea and producing amazing right-backs in recent years.
Blues club captain Reece James was developed in Cobham and is regarded as one of the world’s elite full-backs when fit.
Meanwhile, Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey and Newcastle Unitied’s Tino Livramento are two more impressive right-backs with roots back to Chelsea’s academy.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on 17-year-old Acheampong now that he’s penned a fresh Chelsea deal. Hopefully, he’s another talented right-back with a massive future ahead of him.
Acheampong was pictured in Chelsea’s first-team training last month. We’ve seen Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino turn to academy players already if they’re good enough.
