Chelsea were back to winning ways in the Premier League tonight, and one player enjoyed the perfect return to life as a Blue.
Trevoh Chalobah was thrown back into the starting side straight away after being recalled from his loan at Crystal Palace, and made an instant impact as he put in a player of the match performance.
Alan Smith was full of praise for Chalobah in his commentary of the game, as he replaced Levi Colwill seamlessly in the backline.

Noni Madueke praises Trevoh Chalobah’s impact since returning for Chelsea
Many were appalled at the treatment of the defender that saw him forced out of the club last summer, however the Stamford Bridge crowd welcomed him back with a warm reception which carried on throughout the night.
The Englishman thought he was on the scoresheet on his comeback performance from a set piece, before Noni Madueke nodded the ball in on the line.
The duo celebrated in gest together, however the winger after the game was full of praise for the impact Chalobah has already had.
Madueke told Sky Sports that Chalobah’s leadership in particular has made an instant impression on the squad as they finally returned to winning ways.
He said: “Unbelievable. Leadership, character, bravery on the ball. The system from the manager is difficult, and he slotted in seamlessly. I’m really delighted for him, and it’s not a coincidence that with players like him and Reece back in, we won the game. They’re Chelsea through and through and they helped us tonight.”
Trevoh Chalobah’s Chelsea future

Despite returning to the club and impressing on the pitch already, the future does still reportedly not look bright for Chalobah at Chelsea.
Chalobah reportedly doesn’t rate his chances at a long-term future at the club, especially after all the efforts that were made to get rid of him before this season.
However, the 25-year-old showed tonight that he can certainly play a role for the rest of the campaign, and is no doubt in line to start the big one against Manchester City on Saturday.
