Todd Boehly’s rival bidder Sir Martin Broughton has claimed to TalkSPORT that he would not have sacked Thomas Tuchel if he had become the Chelsea owner.
The Englishman led an opposing bid to the American in an attempt to take over the club from former owner Roman Abramovich.
The club have made a lot of extremely important decisions in the short time since Boehly took over, with none being more so than the decision to change manager.

Tuchel had been an extremely popular figure at Stamford Bridge, although after just a handful of games of this season.
It has been seen by most that this decision has been made due to issues off the field, however Broughton has claimed it is a decision he wouldn’t of taken.
He said: “I think we bid the same amount. It would have been different. It’s quite hard to say how different. We certainly wouldn’t of seeking Tommy Tuchel’s exit, but once you get in you might find you are seeking that. I can’t believe for a minute we would’ve spent as much money. We would have been happy to invest in the team.

“Personally, I think it’s an extraordinarily difficult job that Graham Potter’s got coping with all those new people in the team. When you start taking in seven and then another seven halfway through the season, it’s difficult to get the right blend.”
The money spent by Boehly has been well-documented, with him recently breaking the club’s transfer record with the signing of Enzo Fernandez.
The club have attempted to complete somewhat of a January rebuild last month, bringing in the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Joao Felix as well as the World Cup winner.
