Steve Nicol claims Chelsea target Yunus Musah wouldn’t start for Premier League rivals Liverpool.
Musah, 20, is an exciting youngster that caught the eye representing the United States at the World Cup. In particular, he was brilliant in the group stages against England.
The energetic midfielder is currently playing his club football at Valencia and has taken giant strides forward in 2022.
It’s interesting now to see the former Arsenal academy graduate linked with a return to England.

Transfer speculation
90min claims that Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing Musah from Valencia, who currently has a release clause worth £86million.
In fact, Chelsea and Liverpool have both contacted the 20-year-old’s representatives to register interest
The report does add Spanish side Valencia have entered contract negotiations with their young talent to try fend off potential buyers.

Yunus Musah wouldn’t start for Liverpool
ESPN pundit Steve Nicol has praised Musah after his World Cup performances for the U.S.
However, he makes an interesting claim that he’s not at the level required at this moment in time to get into Liverpool’s team.
When asked if Musah could compete for a spot in the Liverpool XI, Nicol told ESPN: “Not yet. I mean he’s had a good World Cup as far as the dirty side of the game, the running, the challenging, winning the ball back… I don’t think he’s close enough to Liverpool yet.
In fairness, Musah is still so young and fairly inexperienced at the top level. It did feel like a bit of a coming of age at the World Cup in Qatar, though.
