One Chelsea loanee has made it clear that he wants to play for the first team regularly in the future.
Harvey Vale is currently on loan at Bristol Rovers but has told The Athletic his No.1 goal is to become part of Mauricio Pochettino‘s senior squad.
The 20-year-old has already made his first-team debut for Chelsea, playing five times in total for the men’s side, but is yet to feature in the Premier League.
Being so young, though, Vale obviously still has time to become a first-team player at Stamford Bridge.
At Bristol Rovers this season, the England U20 international has made 32 appearances in all competitions.
Harvey Vale aiming to become Chelsea first-team player
Vale is desperate for his future to be in west London.
On his career plans, the Chelsea youngster said: “Come the summer, we’ll evaluate how well I’ve done and have talks. We will take it from there. My next target will be trying to impress Mauricio Pochettino in pre-season; to have an opportunity to prove myself.
“Playing for Chelsea’s first team is my number one goal.”

Harvey Vale could become a Chelsea first-team player
As mentioned earlier, Vale has already made his Chelsea debut and he is quite a versatile footballer.
For example, Vale is capable of playing as a No.10, on the left wing and at left-back. He is also developing quite well at Bristol Rovers.
Again, the Chelsea academy product has seen a lot of game time at the Memorial Stadium this season.
It is not impossible that Vale reaches his goal, though he may need another loan or two before being able to cement a spot in the Blues’ senior squad. But he can be happy with where he is in his career right now, already playing for Chelsea’s first team on more than one occasion.
