Bayern Munich and England star Harry Kane has now named a Chelsea legend as his toughest ever defensive opponent.
He told ESPN that John Terry was an incredibly intelligent opponent who he faced in the early stages of his career.
Terry has rightfully been remembered as one of the greatest defenders in the history of the Premier League, with his achievements in the game matched by few.

Some of his own former teammates have recently come out and praised the Englishman for his impact on them in their own careers.
Former Blue Ricardo Carvalho has come out and said he really helped him when he joined the club, and he certainly wont be the only one.
Now, Kane has claimed that he is one of the best opponents he has ever faced.
Kane praises Terry
He said: “I faced John Terry [at Chelsea] early in my career. He is, you know, the reason he is one of the best defenders in the world; really smart, really intelligent.”
Being a Tottenham legend, a move to Chelsea was never really on the cards when the striker was finally looking for a new challenge away from North London.
Terry enjoyed his fair share of banter with current Spurs star James Maddison after the two clubs met earlier this season.
The club legend told the current England international to ‘get used to it’ after a classic capitulation handed Chelsea an eventual 4-1 win.
Kane meanwhile has not lost his goalscoring touch since making the move to the Bundesliga.
He has 18 goals and five assists in just 12 games in the league this season, and is showing the form England fans will be hoping will continue to Euro 2024.
