Chelsea have become one of the most entertaining teams to watch in world football up to now.

This was perhaps on show more than ever over the weekend when Enzo Maresca led his side to their first Premier League victory at Stamford Bridge of the season.

Cole Palmer’s genius was entertaining the home fans, with his four goals seeing pundits around the league purring at his performance.

At the other end of the pitch though, things were not always so good, and Robert Sanchez in particular came in for plenty of criticism.

The Spaniard was arguably at fault for both goals, however got plenty of backing from Maresca despite this.

Pat Nevin stunned by Robert Sanchez

Pat Nevin has claimed that he was stunned when watching what was going on, even saying that Sanchez was one of the opposing teams better players at a stage.

He said to BBC Sport: “The goalkeeping and defensive blunder count at Stamford Bridge on Saturday was incredible. There was a point when Chelsea keeper Robert Sanchez was in line for the man-of-the-match award…for Brighton!”

Chelsea fans have not been completely convinced by Sanchez since he joined the club, and will be likely keeping an eye on the performance between the sticks tonight in the Conference League against Gent.

Filip Jorgensen to start for Chelsea tonight

Filip Jorgensen is expected to start in goal at Stamford Bridge, with him still looking to force his way into Maresca’s plans on a more permanent basis.

It looks as if the boss is looking to be loyal to Sanchez, however should not let it be too long before he gives a goalkeeper signed for the future a chance to be a star in the present too.

If the Blues were looking around the rest of the Premier League at the weekend, they will have been impressed by the performance of Mads Hermansen, a player Enzo Maresca reportedly wanted to sign this summer.
