Pat Nevin has noticed the Chelsea combination of Joao Felix and Enzo Fernandez is starting to blossom.
The aforementioned duo, who both joined in the January transfer window, are two of the rare positives in a struggling Blues side right now.
Felix, 23, joined on loan until the end of the season, and the attacker appears to be Chelsea’s best offensive threat from the No. 10 position.
As for 22-year-old Fernandez, the central midfielder joined for a British-record sum of £106.8million from Benfica.

Nevin thinks the Fernandez-Felix partnership is now starting to show on the pitch.
“It is noticeable that much of the good, creative stuff we have seen has been when Joao and Enzo Fernandez have tried to link up. They are clearly working on that understanding and hopefully it will bear even more fruit very soon. It does help in tough times when you have partnerships working well together,” Nevin told the club’s official website.

It’s no real surprise Fernandez and Felix are on the same wavelength given they’re both very technically gifted footballers.
Felix is an expert ghosting into pockets of space in-between the defence and midfield, which is perfect for someone like Fernandez who’s looking to pass forward.
Hopefully, it’s a partnership that Chelsea fans can get used to seeing for the long-term.
Fernandez recently said that he hopes the Blues sign Felix on a permanent basis from Atletico Madrid, which seems to be the general reaction from the fanbase as well.
