Patrick Bamford has now given some details on his ‘awkward’ first training session when he joined Chelsea.
He told the ‘My Mate’s a Footballer’ podcast that he was actually laughed at by one of the senior players at the club after he fell over early on in the drill.
There was a lot of hope for Bamford at Chelsea, however things didn’t work out for the Englishman.

He found most of his joy during his tenure here on loan, and has gone on to produce great things for Leeds United in particular.
During his tenure training at Chelsea, he was amongst a wide number of players who had recently done what looked the impossible and won the Champions League.
One of those was Jose Bosingwa, who had established himself as the first choice right-back at Stamford Bridge.
Bosingwa laughed at Bamford
Bamford has claimed he wasn’t particularly welcoming of the youngster when was in his first training session at Cobham.
He said: “We were warming up, just literally jogging through cones. As I’ve got to the last one – you jog up, do fast feet between the cones and jog back round.
“As I got to the last cone, I’ve gone to turn round and put my foot on the cone and stacked it. Slipped, leg went from underneath me. I just remember Bosingwa just laughing and I was thinking ‘what a way to start’.
“I actually ended up training alright but it couldn’t have got off to a more awkward start.”
Bosingwa went on to play for QPR after his time at Chelsea came to an end, before ending his career in Turkey.
He was replaced at Stamford Bridge by Branislav Ivanovic, who went on to establish himself as one of the better players in that position in Premier League history.
