Chelsea’s summer business has now officially come to an end, with a number of their new players already making an impact in the early stages of the 2025/26 campaign.
The highlight addition up to now has been Joao Pedro, who has followed up his electric start to life at the Club World Cup with two goals in his first three Premier League games.
Estevao Willian has been another top performer in the early stages of the season, despite being thrown into a more prominent role than Enzo Maresca would’ve liked since the absence of Cole Palmer due to injury.
The boss will also have a number of new players to utilise after the international break, with one of those being Alejandro Garnacho after his arrival from Manchester United.

Paul Scholes believes Alejandro Garnacho will succeed at Chelsea
Garnacho was in attendance for Chelsea’s win over Fulham at the weekend, and he will no doubt be eager to go out and prove some of his doubters wrong.
A number of pundits have been critical of the club’s business to bring the winger in. Ally McCoist slammed Garnacho joining for not strengthening the first team squad, but Paul Scholes actually has a different opinion.
The United legend has stated that he thinks the youngster will be a success at Stamford Bridge, and has no concerns that any perceived attitude issues will be a problem.
He said: “I think he’ll be good for you. Yeah [I think it’s a good signing]. I feel like a lot of them are n–‘s now though, doesn’t mean they’re not going to be good at football. I don’t think he’ll be disruptive. I hope he is.”

When could Alejandro Garnacho make his Chelsea debut?
So far this season, a combination of Pedro Neto and Jamie Gittens have started the new season on the left of attack.
Despite there being plenty of promise about the recent signing from Borussia Dortmund, Gittens failed to impress on his debut against Crystal Palace, perhaps convincing Maresca to push for another option.
The Argentine could make his debut for Chelsea in the first game after the international break, the West London derby against Fulham.
It will not be long before he makes a return to his old stomping ground, with his second potential game being at Old Trafford against United.
