Peter Crouch has made his pre-match prediction ahead of today’s game between Chelsea and Brighton in the Premier League.
Chelsea welcome Brighton to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon for a league clash between two in-form teams.
The Blues have won their last three consecutive matches across all competitions, including the 5-0 thrashing of Barrow in midweek in the Carabao Cup. Jamie Redknapp claims Chelsea are taking shape under Enzo Maresca as the new head coach adapts to sitting in the manager’s dugout in west London.
Meanwhile, visitors Brighton are unbeaten from their opening five league games this season.

Peter Crouch predicts Chelsea vs Brighton

Chelsea must be wary of familiar threat
There’s a player in the Seagulls ranks that has actually tormented the Blues in recent years.
Remarkably, Brighton’s Danny Welbeck has scored against Chelsea in each of the last three consecutive seasons. At the age of 33, the English striker definitely still poses a threat going into this weekend as well.
Welbeck has already netted three league goals this season to prove he’s still capable of shining in the top division.
Chelsea’s defensive line has at least started to find some form in recent games, with goalkeeper Robert Sanchez impressing in-between the sticks. We’re enjoying the make up of the back four in front of him, too.
