Journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that Chelsea believe that Levi Colwill has the potential to be one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
He told ‘The Done Deal Show’ that the Blues are still planning their future with the 20-year-old as part of their side.
Despite the season only just ending, there has already been plenty of talk over what the future will look like for Colwill.

He is returning to Stamford Bridge off the back of a sensational loan spell with Brighton, where he helped them achieve European football for the first time in their history.
The excitement certainly caught up with the defender, who at one stage during an interview actually forgot he was a Chelsea player still.
Chelsea think Colwill will be a star
Despite the reports that Brighton are extremely interested in a permanent deal, Jacobs has reiterated that the Blues are in no mood to sell this summer.
He said: “Chelsea have made it abundantly clear that they don’t want a loan, they don’t want to sell. As a consequence, unless Colwill forces something, there will be nothing that sees a Colwill exit.

“Chelsea think that he is ready, Chelsea think that he can become one of the top centre-backs in the Premier League and Chelsea are planning their future with Levi Colwill.”
The club will already have to contend with a number of young defenders next season, as they look forward to no European football to mix and match their players in.
Benoit Badiashile has been incredibly impressive since making his move to Stamford Bridge in January, although he will likely miss the start of the season due to an injury picked up just a few weeks’ ago.
