Chelsea sold a lot of their players last summer, including the likes of Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic.
The last of that trio left Chelsea for AC Milan and is really thriving there. In total, Christian Pulisic has scored six goals and provided five assists in 17 Serie A appearances this season.
With that in mind, former USA international Taylor Twellman thinks the winger should have left Stamford Bridge a year earlier, expressing that view on X.
If you are Pulisic, the most important thing is that you are now playing regularly and delivering.
Christian Pulisic should have left Chelsea a year earlier
According to Twellman, Pulisic should have departed Chelsea in the 2022 summer transfer window.
On his countryman, the pundit said: “I appreciate the fact that Pulisic tried to “gut it out” at Chelsea but what if he left a year ‘earlier’ than he did??? He’s playing so free in Milan right now it’s a pleasure to watch.”

Chelsea have moved on from Christian Pulisic
Pulisic has moved on from Chelsea, but it works both ways. The Blues also look to have got over the 25-year-old.
For example, the club bought Cole Palmer from Manchester City during the summer, and he has not disappointed when deployed on the right flank this season.
In the Premier League, Palmer has racked up 12 goal contributions in 16 appearances, which is quite impressive.
Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke have also shown a bit of form of late, with Mauricio Pochettino stating that he is so pleased with the latter right now.
Madueke scored in back-to-back Premier League games against Luton Town and Crystal Palace, while Mudryk also netted in the win versus Roy Hodgson’s side. Pulisic has definitely been replaced at this point.
