Chelsea’s win over Fulham in the West London derby was overshadowed by one of their summer signings being forced off the pitch early on due to injury.
Liam Delap limped off early in the game, seeing Tyrique George play the majority of the game in the striker position, with Joao Pedro in behind.
The Blues ended up winning the game 2-0, with Pedro and Enzo Fernandez finding the net for the second consecutive game and at least temporarily sending them top of the league.
Enzo Maresca has already lost Levi Colwill for the majority of the upcoming season, and Cole Palmer has been absent from the last two games as he looks to get back to 100% fitness.

Liam Delap could be out for longer after upcoming second scan
In a window of much change in the forward positions at Stamford Bridge, the boss will have been building around the Englishman being available for him, however this could be something he is unable to do for some time.
Maresca said immediately after the game that he could be without Delap for up to 6-8 weeks, however according to The Telegraph, he could be set for an even longer spell on the sidelines.
The report goes on to say that the striker was sent for an instant scan after gaining special permission from the Premier League, however will now require another scan in the coming days.
There was no obvious option to come on and play up top on the bench for Chelsea, however that could be about to change before Monday’s deadline.

Chelsea take immediate transfer action after Delap injury
When Delap was limping off, Nicolas Jackson was on the way to Germany to finalise his expected deal with Bayern Munich.
However, Chelsea decided to recall the striker from his upcoming loan, however Jackson does not want to return to Stamford Bridge, after both parties accepted their time together was over.
Chelsea have told Jackson they will sell him if they find a replacement, however with the transfer window just hours away from closing it looks as if this will be difficult to achieve.
Chelsea will be crossing their fingers that Delap’s second scan does not see him ruled out for too much longer than expected, with him playing a key part in their attack in the dominant win against West Ham.
