The quality that new manager Enzo Maresca has at his disposal at Chelsea is seriously exciting for Chelsea fans.
This was exactly the reason they were able to pick up all three points against Bournemouth last weekend, with them under the cosh for much of the game.
Maresca was able to turn to some real brilliance on his bench, with Jadon Sancho and Christopher Nkunku combining for the only goal of the game.
The Frenchman in particular has found starts hard to come by since joining the club for a variety of reasons. His injury luck has been rotten, and his tenure at Chelsea has been described as ‘unlucky’ by Cole Palmer.
This season however, he has been a victim of the quality Maresca has at his fingertips when it comes to attackers at Stamford Bridge right now.

People at Chelsea think Christopher Nkunku is quality
However, it seems the club have a lot of faith and belief in Nkunku. Presenter Chris McHardy has claimed that he has been told by some friends close to the Blues that they think he is a top player.
He said on the Obi One Podcast: “I’ve got a couple of friends close to the club who tell me Christopher Nkunku has been TOP. He’s been unlucky with injuries.”
Nkunku causing selection headache for Enzo Maresca
The France international has handed his manager a serious selection headache ahead of the next game against West Ham, with his impact off the bench a serious case to be handed a start.
With Palmer seeming to have the central attacking midfield role locked down, there is a chance that his minutes could come up front.
This would see him have to displace Nicolas Jackson in the side, another player the club are very pleased with following the impact he has made in his first year and a bit.
It remains to be seen if Maresca makes a change for this weekend’s London derby against West Ham.
