Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is now really keen on bringing in Mason Mount this summer.
He told GiveMeSport that the Reds have now informed the England international of their interest in bringing him in when this season comes to an end.
Things are still seemingly at a standstill regarding Mount and a new contract that will extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed most of his youth career with the club, however now he looks set to be the closest he has ever been to moving.
It appears the length of contract already accepted by the likes of Reece James earlier this season is currently a sticking point for the attacker, with him unwilling to commit that length of time to the Blues.
This may be as a result of what has been an extremely poor personal campaign for Mount, with fan backlash at an all-time high.
Klopp wants Mount
Despite being a back-to-back player of the year, it is now difficult to see him play for the club beyond this season.
Phillips has said that Liverpool are the most interested of the rival teams, with Klopp leading the process.
He said: “Liverpool are the most interested club in trying to sign Mount. Klopp really wants him and they’ve kind of put him as one of their priorities going forward this summer if he’s available.

“They’ve made Mount aware of their interest. It’s not to say he’s keen on going there, but I think he could easily go there.”
Mount is currently unable to prove his abilities to either the Blues or any potential suitors due to an injury that forced him to withdraw from the England camp this week.
Coincidentally, his time on the sidelines has been at the same time Chelsea have returned to form.
