There are less than 72 hours now until the January transfer window slams shut, and Chelsea are going to be scrambling to complete a number of deals.

It is believed the Blues are looking to secure a number of exits for some of their first team players who don’t look as if they are in Enzo Maresca’s long-term plans at Stamford Bridge.

The likes of Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku are being looked at by other sides, with Aston Villa manager Unai Emery a big fan of Felix in particular.

With the Premier League side reportedly agreeing a deal to sell Chelsea target Jhon Duran to Saudi Arabia, they have the opportunity to secure a number of deals to bolster their squad.

Axel Disasi not seen in Chelsea training after agreeing terms to join Aston Villa

Felix is not the only Chelsea player they are interested in signing, with them being linked with a deal to bring in Axel Disasi.

The Frenchman has already agreed personal terms with Villa, with opportunities to feature in his favoured centre-back role being few and far between under the new manager.

A move is seeming likely at this stage, and this feeling will only be enhanced by the pictures released from training this week via the Club’s official 5th Stand app.

In these images, Disasi is not present, suggesting a move is close to being finalised.

Chelsea’s replacement for ‘quality’ Axel Disasi.

Chelsea chief Lawrence Stewart described Disasi as ‘quality’ after they secured the deal to sign him, however less than two years later he looks set to be on the move.

Maresca reportedly highlighted the defence as an area where he wanted reinforcements, and has been allowed to recall Trevoh Chalobah from his loan at Crystal Palace.

With no more signings likely in January, it looks as if it could be a big few months for Josh Acheampong after being promoted to the first team permanently.

Manchester United reportedly asked about Acheampong during negotiations involving Alejandro Garnacho, however Chelsea are unlikely to do business after recently seeing the youngster sign a new long-term deal.
