Chelsea could sell one of their players to a Premier League rival before the transfer window closes next week.

Several Chelsea players, including the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi and Joao Felix, are all being linked with moves away from the club.

It is being reported that Disasi has already agreed personal terms with Aston Villa. The central defender has made just six appearances in the Premier League this season.

As well as Disasi, another Chelsea star could also join Unai Emery’s side during the January transfer window.

Chelsea in talks with Aston Villa to sell Joao Felix

Felix only joined Chelsea last summer, but it looks like the former Atletico Madrid forward could already be heading for the exit door.

According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Chelsea are in “direct contact” with Villa over the potential sale of Felix.

Like Disasi, the 25-year-old has not had too many starting opportunities in the Premier League either.

In total, Felix has made just three starts in the top flight under Enzo Maresca, so a move before next Monday’s deadline may very well appeal to him. Italian giants AC Milan have also been linked with Felix.

Unai Emery in love with Joao Felix

Felix has been linked to Villa in the past, with Emery thought to be a big fan of the Portuguese.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shared on his YouTube channel that the Villa boss is actually in love with Felix.

In the end, things did not quite work out for Felix at Atletico, but his former manager Diego Simeone was also a fan of his talent.

After Felix’s initial loan move to Chelsea back in 2023, Simeone told reporters (via Goal): “I just wish him the best, a boy with some extraordinary football ability. He is young and obviously eager to do his best and showcase all the football that he has in him. So hopefully he will succeed, wherever he is.”

Failing to break into Chelsea’s starting XI, Felix has been unable to showcase that extraordinary ability this season. At Villa, maybe he will get to.

Given his ability, some Blues fans would be disappointed to see him go. But Felix will feel that he has too much talent to be sitting on the Stamford Bridge bench.
