Martin Keown was full of praise for Raheem Sterling after the Chelsea star’s performance against Nottingham Forest.
Chelsea slumped to a 2-2 home draw this afternoon against Forest, who had a woeful away record this season before Saturday’s fixture.
Forest’s goals came from centre-forward Taiwo Awoniyi, who netted a goal in each half to help earn them a precious Premier League point in their fight against relegation.
As for the Blues, Raheem Sterling scored two second-half goals to remind everyone what he can offer to this side.
The £50million (BBC) left-winger hasn’t been at his fluent best during his debut Chelsea season, but he’s now scored nine goals across all competitions.

BBC pundit Keown delivered a really positive on Sterling during his two-goal display at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Speaking after Sterling’s opening goal, Keown told BBC’s Football Focus programme: “He was really clever. He just pulls away from the defender and then tucks away his finish… Sterling back on the scoresheet is really important for his confidence.”
In response to his second goal, Keown later added (4:20pm): “Sterling’s confidence looks to have improved. He does so well there to cut inside his opponent and then whip it into the corner.”

Sterling claimed a couple of weeks ago that he’s been nowhere near his best this season.
We’re very much inclined to agreeing with him, but he showed his class in his second-half performance against Forest.
He showed great movement in the penalty box before his opening strike. Afterwards, he produced a trademark right-footed curled finish into the corner.
We feel that the England international can still be a key player moving forward into next season. A strong end to this campaign will do his confidence the world of good if he gains some momentum.
