Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has identified Manchester United’s two danger men ahead of his side’s trip to Old Trafford tomorrow.

Chelsea travel to Manchester on Wednesday evening to take on Erik ten Hag’s team in the Premier League, and Mauricio Pochettino has told Nizaar Kinsella of the Evening Standard and other reporters the two United players he is afraid of.

It is a game Pochettino will be desperate to win, as his side can close the gap with their opponents to just two points.

Chelsea have to be wary of a reaction, though, with United looking to bounce back after losing 1-0 to Newcastle United over the weekend.

Mauricio Pochettino aware of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho’s pace

Pochettino has warned his team about allowing United to transition with Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho’s speed.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference earlier, he told reporters: “They have very good players, they have pace in the offensive players, so we cannot allow them to transition.

“We need to be clever to not allow them to transition. Rashford and Garnacho can transition really fast.”

Who are Chelsea’s danger men?

It is quite clear that Chelsea have to worry about Rashford and Garnacho, with the former having a decent record against them. But what about United? Who should Ten Hag be fearful of?

Well like Rashford and Garnacho, Raheem Sterling also has pace and he has been in good form for the Blues this season.

The 28-year-old has scored five goals in 14 Premier League appearances, which includes a spectacular free-kick against Newcastle that just won Goal of the Month.

Cole Palmer could cause United’s defence problems as well. While Chelsea actually went on to lose the game, the England international made four key passes in his side’s 2-0 defeat to Brentford at the end of October, the most in the match (WhoScored). He is someone United will have to keep an eye on.

Palmer has been really good this season, with Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel claiming that he has looked like a completely different player under Pochettino.
