Reports have claimed that Chelsea’s latest offer has caused Marcus Thuram to have a change of heart over joining them.
According to Di Marzio, the striker is now interested in a move after previously looking to commit to his current club Borussia Monchengladbach until the end of the season.
The Frenchman, who was a first half substitute in the World Cup final just over a month ago, currently has a contract which is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

This has of course left the ball in his court regarding where he will play his football next.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with a deal for Thuram as they seek a recognised striker to add to their ranks.
The current crop are all suffering in their own ways.
Kai Havertz seems to perform far better behind a natural number nine, whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s heart appears to simply not be in it at Stamford Bridge.
Thuram has change of heart over Chelsea
Adding that to the unfortunate injury to Armando Broja, the striking options at the club are still looking bleak.
This is despite the addition of Joao Felix on loan, who is similar to Havertz in doing his best work in a role slightly behind the man up top.
This explains their interest in Thuram, and Di Marzio’s claims that the France international is beginning to consider the deal will come as good news to Chelsea fans.

Even if Thuram was to join, there are still reports that the Blues may not be finished in terms of recruitment this month.
They have been strongly linked with a move to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton, as they look to address the potential midfield exodus they could be facing.
With other Premier League clubs interested, they may look to secure a deal this month rather than at the end of the season.
