Antonio Rudiger wants to have finalised his Chelsea future by the end of this month.
According to The Athletic, the defender has given himself and the club 11 days to come up with a solution to his precarious situation.
How long does Rudiger have left at Chelsea?
Time is ticking on Rudiger’s tenure at Stamford Bridge.
His contract expires in June and unless he receives the pay rise he demands and deserves before the deadline, he will be able to walk away as a free agent.
Understandably, suitors from across Europe are holding their breath to learn whether or not Chelsea will be able to offer the £29m (BBC) centre-back an increased wage.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur appear to be jostling for his signature.
Currently, the German earns £90,000-a-week (Athletic), which is one of the lowest figures amongst the senior squad.
Considering how important he has been since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard, this number is unjustifiably low.
An agreement to award Rudiger nearly £200,000-a-week (Athletic) was nearly reached in February, but Roman Abramovich’s decision to put Chelsea up for sale extinguished those conversations.
Bad days for the Blues
Now, with Abramovich under sanction, the likelihood of the board coming to a conclusion with Rudiger is even less.
They cannot do much in the way of sorting out contracts until a new owner is installed and the cash can start flowing again.
Until that moment, those within Tuchel’s team that haven’t yet settled for another season will be walking on thin ice.
This includes Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen, both in the ‘expiring deals’ bracket as well.

Christensen seems set upon joining Barcelona and could be followed by his Chelsea captain.
It is said that Azpilicueta will not force an exit this summer, hoping to leave on good terms if he bids farewell to the Blues.
Let’s just hope we don’t have to be making too many emotional goodbyes.
