Reports have claimed that Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi would love to become the new Chelsea boss.
According to The Independent, the jump up in standards is something the extremely impressive Premier League coach would welcome.
The Blues are currently in the process of looking for their third permanent manager of the season, after the decision was made yesterday to sack Graham Potter.

The former Brighton man had received plenty of backing by Todd Boehly, however it got to the point where the results and performances were no longer defendable.
Reports claimed that seeing their side fall into the bottom half of the table was the point where the owners decided that they could no longer warrant having Potter in charge.
This has seen a wild hunt commence for the club to decide who will replace the former Brighton man either immediately or at the end of the season.
De Zerbi wants Chelsea job
The timing of Julian Nagelsmann’s sacking at Bayern Munich makes him an obvious target for the Blues, and links have not taken long to come between the two parties.
However, it was widely expected that the German would want to wait until the end of the season before taking another role.
This leaves it open to other candidates to stake their claim, with perhaps an eye towards another Premier League manager.

De Zerbi has taken Brighton to the next level since he took over from Potter earlier this season. The Seagulls are even in the battle for a top four finish at the end of this season.
He has also received plenty of praise for his work, notably from Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
However, hiring consecutive coaches from Brighton is a step and risk the new owners are extremely unlikely to take a chance on hiring from within the Premier League again.
