Reports have claimed that N’golo Kante’s future at Chelsea is up in the air again.
According to the Evening Standard, the fact that talks over Mauricio Pochettino have dragged on as long as they have has left his future in limbo.
It did look as if Kante was close to agreeing on a deal that would extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.

Despite injuries mounting up over recent seasons, his importance to the club is still obvious whenever he plays, and his impact in big games is matched by very few in world football.
His current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, however there was expectation that this would be resolved when Pochettino joined the club.
The duo have somewhat of a reported bromance, after the manager reportedly wanted to sign him when he was in charge at PSG.
Kante future in doubt again
After the club lost Jorginho in January for just £12m due to his contract being about to run out, it is imperative that they don’t lose two of their most important players of the last few seasons for that combined fee.
However, he is currently one of the players whose future looks in doubt following the fact that there is no announcement as of yet for a new manager for next season.

The future of the midfield looks set to be Enzo Fernandez, who the club have been mightily impressed with since his January transfer for a club-record fee.
However, it is known at the club that they do need to sign someone whose skillset compliments the World Cup winners’.
It has been claimed that Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is the number one target for the club to fill that role this summer.
