Reports have claimed that Jorginho has rejected the first contract offered to him by Todd Boehly to stay at Chelsea.
According to the Evening Standard, the Italy international is keen to see his wage rise to £150k-per-week, which has so far not been offered to him.
The 30-year-old’s contract is set to expire this summer, with the Blues potentially set for somewhat of a midfield exodus at the end of this season.

There are genuine fears that it could be an end to N’golo Kante’s time at Chelsea this summer.
The Frenchman is currently holding out for a long-term contract to stay at Chelsea, although the club are unwilling to meet his demands based on his injury troubles.
He has recently suffered another injury setback, after being ruled out since the second game of the season.
Jorginho rejects Boehly contract
There is seemingly more confidence regarding the Jorginho situation, although the Evening Standard have claimed that the two parties have currently not reached an agreement over extending his stay.
The report goes on to say that the vice-captain is keen to see his wage match that of captain Cesar Azpilicueta, who signed a new deal over the summer.
The Spain international looked set for the entirety of the summer that he was going to leave the club.

Barcelona were very keen to bring him in, however Boehly made it clear that he wanted to keep the club legend in West London.
Blues fans will be hoping for a similar scenario to play out with Jorginho. The Blues certainly look a lot weaker in possession when he doesn’t play.
There are currently no concrete indications that he wants to play football elsewhere, despite earlier rumours that he was letting his contract run down, in order to secure a move back to Italy.
