Reports from Italy have claimed that Chelsea are now interested in signing Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni this summer.
According to Gazzetta, the Blues’ interest comes as a result of contract talks for the centre-back coming to a standstill.
The Italian has previously been on the shortlist of numerous Premier League teams, with Chelsea being one of those reportedly interested in striking a deal.

The 23-year-old has continued to improve as a regular at the San Siro in a side traditionally known for being very strong defensively.
The Serie A side are currently still in the Champions League, and are certainly on the favourable side of the draw which doesn’t include Chelsea.
The Blues originally reportedly tried to get a deal done when they were looking to get rid of Romelu Lukaku last summer, offering him in somewhat of a swap deal.
While this didn’t come to fruition, the Belgian did move back to Italy on a loan deal.
Bastoni wanted by Chelsea
Bastoni is a big fan of Lukaku, with him previously claiming he holds the keys to their attempts to return to the top of Italian football.
However, it has now been claimed that he could be on the move after talks regarding a new contract with Inter have come to a standstill.
While Chelsea have previously been a fan of the defender, the position at Stamford Bridge is one which actually looks pretty secure for now.

Despite Thiago Silva approaching the end of his career at the top, he has plenty of players learning from his brilliance at the moment.
Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile are two young players signed by the club this season who have already shown signs that they can be figures at the club for a number of years.
They also have the very impressive Levi Colwill set to return to the club, and will do anything to convince him not to leave next season.
