Chelsea will hold second interviews with Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino, according to reports.

Chelsea’s search continues to go on behind the scenes to find their next permanent manager.

Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino are two coaches strongly linked with the vacant role at Stamford Bridge. Incidentally, both are out of work and available right now.

Sky Sports Germany claims that Chelsea chiefs held positive talks with 35-year-old Nagelsmann last week.

Likewise, journalist Simon Phillips recently told GiveMeSport that Chelsea have held conversations with 51-year-old Pochettino.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are expected to speak again with both Nagelsmann and Pochettino.

It is understood that the aforementioned duo, along with other unnamed managers, will hold further talks with the Blues hierarchy.

The report says that the club still haven’t picked out a favourite managerial candidate yet, though.

The Telegraph’s piece details that Chelsea were impressed by Nagelsmann when speaking to the former Bayern Munich boss.

Also, Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali were impressed by Pochettino when they interviewed him before they hired Graham Potter.

For Pochettino, he’s got the advantage of Premier League know-how from his time with Tottenham and Southampton. He’s got some top-level experience with Paris Saint-Germain under his belt now, too.

As for Nagelsmann, he’s yet to take on a job in England. However, the young coach still has a lot of experience from time with Bayern, RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim.

Let’s hope that the Chelsea board can soon get closer to find their next manager.
