Reports have claimed that Mason Mount is in line to become one of the highest earning players at Chelsea.
According to the Evening Standard, talks are well underway between the two parties over the England international extending his contract to stay at Stamford Bridge.
One of Todd Boehly’s first priorities after coming into the club was to sort out the contract situation of Mount and teammate Reece James.

It was claimed that the American was stunned to learn just how little the pair were being paid in comparison to how important they are for the club.
The situation was resolved last month regarding the wing-back, when he signed a long-term deal to commit his future to the west London club.
The Evening Standard have claimed Mount is next on the list, and although talks are not currently imminent to be accepted, there are no issues reported up until now.
Mount to become high earner
The report goes on to say that the situation may not be resolved until after the World Cup, allowing the 23-year-old to focus on leading his country in Qatar.
After being recognised as the club’s most valuable player last season, Mount has finally begun to show that kind of form for Chelsea again this campaign.
Things started very slowly in this campaign, although not too dissimilarly to how they did in the last.

He is yet to score for the Blues, however a couple of open play assists against Wolves will no doubt do his personal confidence the world of good.
Mount will almost certainly start again under Graham Potter tonight for the crucial Champions League clash against AC Milan at the San Siro.
It has not taken the new Blues boss long to learn just how important the 23-year-old is to the club.
