Former Brazil national team manager Tite has reportedly made his interest in the vacant managerial position at Chelsea known as the London club continue their hunt for a manager.

Despite the pressure that comes with the Chelsea job, which was made obvious by Thomas Tuchel and Potter’s exits this season, the opportunity to manage one of the most promising squads in Europe is arguably still a very attractive prospect.

According to the Independent, Chelsea have already started talks with some of the managers on their shortlist, such as Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, and Mauricio Pochettino.

But they are not the only top managers who are currently out of work and are looking for an opportunity to get back into management.

Tite, who left Brazil following the 2022 World Cup, is reportedly interested in the vacant Chelsea role and has made it known.

The 61-year-old’s lack of experience in managing European elite clubs likely puts him in an unfavourable position in the race compared to the aforementioned names, but his track record in Brazilian football is still very impressive.

He won the Brazilian Serie A title twice with Corinthians and even led them to the FIFA World Cup win, beating Chelsea in 2012. They, of course, secured their spot in the competition after winning Copa Libertadores, the South-American equivalent of the Champions League, in the same year.

His record with the national team is not as impressive with two World Cup quarter-final exits in 2018 and 2022, although he still led them to a Copa America win in 2019.
