Julian Nagelsmann now has doubts over taking the Chelsea manager’s job, according to reports.
Since Graham Potter’s sacking at Stamford Bridge, there has been plenty of speculation doing the rounds over his long-term replacement. Of course, Frank Lampard stepped in on an interim basis until the summer.
Interestingly, Julian Nagelsmann is one of the candidates receiving the most attention in the media.
The Telegraph claimed earlier today that Nagelsmann is one of the favourites for the Chelsea job and he’s set for further talks with them.
However, there’s now some fresh news about the 35-year-old coach.

According to Miguel Delaney’s newsletter for The Independent, Nagelsmann isn’t sure himself right now about taking the Chelsea position.
The report adds that the Blues board are divided on him right now as a candidate.
He’s out of work and available since leaving Bayern Munich last month, so we’re not surprised by all the links to him.
However, it’ll be the young manager’s first role on England if he lands the job at Stamford Bridge next season.

The first year under this ownership has been a rollercoaster at Chelsea, so good luck to the next man in the dugout.
For us, we do like the idea of Nagelsmann taking the reigns as an ambitious and hungry young coach. He’s got experience of winning in Bayern Munich colours, too!
We definitely understand if managerial candidates have doubts about touching the Chelsea project. After all, Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter have both been dismissed during the 2022/23 season.
