Report: Napoli now want to sign 24-year-old Chelsea player after winning the league in Italy

Reports have claimed that Napoli are now keen on signing Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic this summer.

According to the Mail Online, the Serie A side are looking at the American to strengthen their attack after recently being crowned Champions of Italy.

It has been another tough season for Pulisic in terms of both injuries and securing regular gametime when fit.

The January transfer window will certainly not have helped his cause either, after the club invested heavily in the wide areas for the future.

Chelsea completed the big-money signings of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke, with the latter finally getting his chance to impress in recent weeks predominantly on the right-hand-side.

He opened his account for the club against Arsenal last week, before enjoying another dominant performance against Bournemouth in the club’s 3-1 win at the weekend.

Pulisic wanted by Napoli

There are plenty of hopes about the future of the Ukrainian as well, making it very difficult for any other options to emerge as contenders for the role in the long term.

This could see the end of Pulisic’s Chelsea career, after joining the club in 2019.

Napoli are the latest side who have been linked with adding the American to their ranks, as they look to maintain their place at the top of the table for the coming seasons in Italy.

They may find this a lot harder if their star player, Victor Osimhen, is poached at the end of the season by one of the elite sides in Europe.

Chelsea are one of those considering a deal, as they look for a regular fix to goalscoring issues which have been on display throughout this season at Stamford Bridge.
