Reports have claimed that Manchester United still believe they can get a deal over the line to sign Chelsea’s Mason Mount this summer.
According to 90min, the Red Devils are not actually prepared to walk away from negotiations to sign the England international in this transfer window.
It has seemed for weeks now that Mount’s time at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end, despite spending more than half of his life associated with the club.

There has been no agreement regarding a new contract, and he is about to enter the final year on his deal in West London.
Interest in his services has been led this summer by Erik ten Hag, who feels the 24-year-old sill be a valuable asset to his midfield at Old Trafford.
United not giving up on Mount
It is clear to see why a side would be interested in Mount. He has previously been described as ‘unbelievable’ by pundit Joe Cole.
They have now had three bids rejected to sign Mount, and there was speculation that they were going to walk away from a deal and shift their attention to other targets.

However, they may have noted that the player seems to be fully convinced by the move to Manchester. He agreed personal terms a long time ago ahead of a potential move.
The report went on to say that Chelsea were happy to cash in on the midfielder after seemingly being under the impression that they were going to be forced to sell this summer if they didn’t want to lose him for free in a year’s time.
There will certainly be some at the club who are hopeful some time under new manager Mauricio Pochettino could be what is required to see Mount commit his future to the club.
