Some Chelsea players were left shocked Todd Boehly welcomed Mykhailo Mudryk and his advisors into the dressing room on a matchday, according to reports.

Mykhailo Mudryk, 22, was unveiled to Chelsea supporters as a new signing back at the Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace on 15 January.

The Daily Mail claims that Mudryk, along with his team of advisors, actually went into the Stamford Bridge team dressing room prior to kick-off.

It is understood that certain Blues players were taken aback when the entourage walked into the changing room before the 1-0 win over Palace.

However, co-owner Boehly has a background in American sports, which is usually a lot more open with dressing room access in comparison to Premier League squads.

This further highlights that Boehly is very much still learning on the job how things usually run at a Premier League club.

He’s come under real scrutiny during the ownership’s first year in charge at Stamford Bridge, mainly for his role in the very poor recruitment at the start.

The recent story around the American businessman has been around him entering the Chelsea changing room post-match to speak with the players. The Telegraph claimed that Boehly labelled the situation ’embarrassing’ when speaking to Chelsea’s players after this month’s 2-1 league defeat against Brighton.

We hope that over time we hear a lot less news surrounding Boehly. Instead, we would rather follow a club that runs smoothly behind the scenes and is succeeding on the pitch.

It feels like this next managerial appointment will be huge in the club’s future with these owners.

Mudryk has had a rocky start himself during his opening few months as a Chelsea player.

With everything pointing towards next season already, we would love to see Frank Lampard use the Ukrainian attacker a lot more in the final seven games.

The 22-year-old winger is someone that really needs minutes on the pitch!
