Reports have claimed that there is a suspicion that Mauricio Pochettino will sell Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi when he takes over as manager.

According to GiveMeSport, the Argentine will have the say on the future of the 22-year-old when he returns to the club from his loan spell in Germany.

Hudson-Odoi has been playing for Bayer Leverkusen this season, having the opportunity to work under promising young coach Xabi Alonso.

However, his minutes have drastically decreased since the former Liverpool and Real Madrid man took over earlier this season.

The Englishman is yet to complete 90 minutes for his loan side, which has unfortunately coincided with the Bundesliga side having a turn of form.

Minutes were at a premium for Hudson-Odoi during his time at Chelsea last season, with Thomas Tuchel struggling to trust him in a wide attacking role.

He instead spent the majority of his time on the pitch in a wing-back role, a position he has since admitted he had never even played in before.

Reports have already begun to circulate about which players Pochettino will see as important first team stars before he has even been officially announced as the new permanent manager at Stamford Bridge.

This has included N’golo Kante and Mason Mount, with it being claimed that the Argentine has already asked the club to reopen negotiations with the England international to keep him at the club.

The future does not look so bright for fellow Cobham graduate Hudson-Odoi, with reports suggesting he will be up for sale this summer.

It will be a shame to see the Englishman leave the club given the promise he showed while coming through the youth sides at Cobham, however it is unimaginable to see a future for him at the club.
