Reports have claimed that a Chelsea supporter could be heard telling Graham Potter to resign at full-time of the defeat to Southampton at the weekend.

According to The Athletic, the fuming fan made his feelings known whilst sitting right behind the Chelsea dugout.

Things reached a new low for the Blues at the weekend when they lost to the side still currently sitting at the bottom of the Premier League.

The Saints completed a double this season over the West London side, however this defeat hit much harder than the 2-1 loss suffered by Thomas Tuchel’s side back in August.

A number of the new signings brought in over January featured this time, with Enzo Fernandez, Joao Felix and Benoit Badiashile all starting.

However, none of the trip were up to their high standards as Southampton left Stamford Bridge with a deserved victory.

The result obviously raised even more questions over Potter’s future as manager at the club.

Whilst the owners are still reportedly backing their man, pundits and supporters alike have questioned whether keeping the former Brighton man at the helm is the correct decision.

It seems as if the manager is beginning to really lose the matchday fans too, with The Athletic reporting more supporters than just the individual in question voiced their concerns over his future.

It seems right now as if the Englishman’s relationship with the Chelsea fans will come down to one result, with that being the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund.

The Blues will need to overturn a one goal deficit from the first leg last week, where they created ample chances but were unable to find the back of the net again.
