Michael Brown has raved about the technique of Chelsea’s Mason Mount after his Premier League goal a couple of days ago.
Mount, who’s making vital contributions this campaign, scored during a 3-1 away win for the Blues against Norwich City on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old intelligently opened up his body to receive a pass in the box before unleashing a powerful strike into the roof of the net.
It means he’s now scored eight goals and made seven assists already this season in 23 league appearances.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has an embarrassment of riches to select from in the final third of the pitch, but attacking midfielder Mount is making it increasingly impossible to leave him out of the starting XI.
BBC pundit Brown waxed lyrical about the England international earlier this week.
“Ridiculous finish from Mason Mount. It’s all about the technique, the awareness just to take the ball and dispatches it into the top corner – fantastic finish,” Brown told BBC Radio 5 Live.

Mount, who immediately kissed the badge on his shirt after scoring against Norwich, is one of several impressive young guns at Stamford Bridge.
Kai Havertz, 22, is really starting to come into his own in the number nine position.
In addition, you can throw the likes of Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James and Christian Pulisic as super young talents to catch the eye.
Many fear that Chelsea will need to rely heavily on the Cobham academy moving forward amid the sanctions placed on owner Roman Abramovich.
However, the Blues now reportedly have permission to complete the sale of the club, with a takeover potentially taking place in the next four to six weeks.
