Robert Sanchez has now sent a message to Mauricio Pochettino after a video emerged of him beating the goalkeeper in Chelsea training.

The Spaniard joked on his Instagram story that the clip was a mere highlight of what had been an unsuccessful attempt at most to beat him with a long-distance strike.

A tweet from the club’s official account showed Pochettino taking pot shots at Sanchez, seemingly at the end of a training session.

The former Brighton man is not currently a member of the Spain national team, leaving him at Cobham to work on his game.

This is despite him enjoying a strong start to life at Chelsea, as he gets his career back on track.

He was down as the third choice at his former side at one point, with things looking as if they were going seriously south for him.

However, with the backing of Pochettino as his number one, he is beginning to find the form that saw him first linked with Chelsea as a transfer target in the past.

The manager and goalkeeper were engaging in some post-training fun yesterday, with the Argentine calling back to his playing days with some shooting practice.

After a number of efforts, he finally beat the Spaniard, sparking mad celebrations amongst the coaching staff that were present.

Sanchez has now responded to the moment on Instagram, putting a story up saying it does not tell the full story.

He is almost certainly going to be starting again next week when the Premier League returns.

Arsenal will be travelling to Stamford Bridge to offer the biggest test that the Blues have faced yet this season.
