Cole Palmer put on an excellent performance last night in Chelsea’s cup win against Brighton.
The Blues have progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, where they’ll host Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side edged out Premier League opponents Brighton by a 1-0 scoreline at Stamford Bridge, which is a massive result given the team’s poor start to the season.
Nicolas Jackson, who’s come under-fire in recent games, scored the winning goal with a low right-footed finish. It was a goal made by creative playmaker Cole Palmer, though. His cute pass went through a Brighton player’s legs and assisted Jackson.

Palmer, 21, celebrated yesterday’s victory with an Instagram post.
This received several responses from teammate’s praising his display.
Chelsea midfielders Romeo Lavia and Carney Chukwuemeka, both of whom are sidelined through injury right now, hailed Palmer’s performance this week.

“CP in the building,” Lavia responded.
Chukwuemeka commented: “Super warm.”

Chelsea boss Pochettino was full of praise for Palmer after yesterday’s display and called him “very talented”, as quoted by Football London.
We see no reason why he doesn’t keep his spot in the starting line-up for Monday’s trip to Fulham in the Premier League.
It’s obvious that goals are hard to come by in this squad, but Palmer does provide an extra spark with his quality on the ball.
Chelsea would be wise to get him in central positions as much as possible to create and pick forward passes.
