Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has managed to inspire Raheem Sterling to rediscover his best form this season.
That is according to Sky Sports pundit Danny Mills.
Raheem Sterling, 28, is certainly making his mark in the Chelsea team during his second campaign at Stamford Bridge.
The £50mllion attacker (The Guardian) was struggling to find his feet last year, which was a very difficult season for everybody in the oversized squad.
Now, the fast left-winger appears to be enjoying his football under Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Mauricio Pochettino impact
We’re not too surprised to see Pochettino help several Chelsea stars during his first few months in the manager’s dugout.
Sterling must be benefitting from the extra trust this season, starting 11 out of 12 Premier League games so far. Incidentally, he’s now up to five goals across all competitions so far.
Danny Mills has given Chelsea’s boss a lot of the credit for Sterling’s mini renaissance.
“As a defender, the last thing you want is a player picking the ball up and running at you with pace time after time after time,” Mills told Sky Sports.
“He’s a constant threat. Running at people and driving at people. Not always the most elegant the way he runs with the ball, it bobbles around from time to time, but his determination and desire to get into those positions.
“It seems like he’s got that hunger and desire back. That has to come from the manager, and a little bit of stability, and the belief he’s going to play.”
Raheem Sterling needs to keep going
It’s no secret that Sterling can perform at the highest level in the Premier League, something he’s done for a long time now across spells at Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.
However, he’s in a unique position with the Blues where he’s certainly one of the rare senior figures.
If the Blues are to recover from a slow start to the season, Sterling will need to have a very strong campaign. There’s certainly signs recently that this team is heading in the right direction.
Speaking on the It’s All Kicking Off podcast, Chris Sutton admitted his confusion that Marcus Rashford is in the England squad this month over Sterling.
Chelsea’s wide player can only keep delivering for his club and hope that national boss Gareth Southgate comes to his senses in time for Euro 2024. We expect the public outcry for Sterling to grow louder as next summer’s international tournament draws closer.
