Ben Chilwell has heaped praise on Jude Bellingham – a player Chelsea wanted to sign – for his start to life at Real Madrid.
The Chelsea No.21 was speaking about his fellow countryman while on international duty with England.
So, what did Ben Chilwell say about Jude Bellingham? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the £50m man heaped praise on the 20-year-old after his stunning start to life at Real Madrid.
Chilwell told talkSPORT: “It’s extremely exciting to have someone so talented, so young in our squad.
“The thing that gets everyone really excited by him is the fact that we see him day-to-day and we see how he conducts himself, how professional he is, how eager he is to keep on improving. He’s a brilliant talent. He’s a great guy off the pitch as well, very popular character.”
Bellingham has already scored five goals – and also provided one assist – in just four appearances in La Liga since his £88.5m move from Borussia Dortmund in June.

The deal could rise to £115m if add-ons are triggered.
According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea wanted to sign Bellingham this summer, and felt that the sale of Mason Mount would boost their chances.
However, the Birmingham-born sensation eventually moved to the Santiago Bernabeu, where he signed a contract worth £220,000-a-week.
Chelsea will like to think they already have the next Jude Bellingham
Given the fact Todd Boehly has already spent over £230m on teenagers alone since arriving at Chelsea, you’d like to think the Blues are confident they have a Bellingham of their own in the making.

Chelsea have spent heavily on midfield wonderkids such as Cesare Casadei, Andrey Santos, Lesley Ugochukwu and others.
Hopefully, Chelsea help these prospects realise their vast potential, and they can make headlines like Bellingham has over in Spain.
